InteGreat Theatre is a community theatre group for Deaf & hearing adults, based in Birmingham.
We aim to integrate & bridge the gap between the Deaf & hearing communities through drama & performance. Our performances are in sign language & spoken English, accessible to all. We are inclusive to all ages, races, abilities & sexualities and promote equality between Deaf & hearing people & encourage the use of sign language.
We created and translated the song ‘This is me’ from the Greatest Showman about what it means to us. The song is about struggles and the difficulties and oppressions we can face in life. OUR STORY includes memories of being bullied, feeling of rejection from being adopted, being labelled disabled and judged as different to everyone else when we feel the same and being told you have cancer as a teenager.
